Min-Shik Kim is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at Yonsei University, South Korea, where he has served since 1998 after rising through the ranks from Assistant to Associate to full Professor. He leads research at the Yonsei Cognition Lab, focusing on experimental and computational approaches to human cognition.
His academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Cognitive Sciences from Vanderbilt University (1996), an M.A. in Psychology from Yonsei University (1988), and a B.A. in Psychology from Yonsei University (1986).
Professor Kim's research centers on attentional control mechanisms in visual processing, computational modeling of vision guided by neuroscience findings, and representations of visual information for real-world tasks. His work spans visual neglect, illusions, imagery, and memory systems including visual working memory and implicit learning, with applications extending to educational strategies and advertising effectiveness.
