Dr. Min-Kyu Joo is a Research Fellow at the University of Sydney's Body, Heart and Mind in Business Research Group. He holds a BA from Yonsei University, MA from the University of Minnesota, and PhD from the University of Houston.
His research focuses on four interconnected streams: diversity in organizations (especially gender diversity effects), leadership development (particularly through mentoring), mentoring dynamics (formal/informal networks), and strategic human resource management (HR practices as organizational levers). His work frequently examines moderating factors like gender, personality traits, and cultural contexts.
Recent publications (2018-2024) predominantly explore leadership behaviors, gender diversity impacts, mentoring efficacy, and HR strategy design, with consistent focus on organizational performance and employee outcomes. Research frequently incorporates cross-cultural perspectives, especially South Korean business contexts.
