Min Bae is a Professor of Film at the University of Windsor's School of Creative Arts, specializing in documentary and experimental filmmaking. He has directed prominent films such as Reset (2022), exploring the South Korean ferry disaster, and Qausuittuq (2021), documenting the abandonment of an Arctic settlement. His work often intersects with historical, environmental, and social themes.
Notable projects include the interactive documentary 130-Year Road Trip (2016), blending film, music, and live performance, and the historical drama Stillwater (2015), set during Windsor’s Prohibition era. He has been recognized with a Directors Guild of Canada nomination for Reset.
Bae actively engages students through workshops, such as the Cinema Arts Film Camp, and collaborates with faculty like Kim Nelson and Brent Lee. He contributes to the university’s film facilities, including Studio 5, where student projects like miniature set designs and drone cinematography are showcased.
