Nick Hector is a Professor in the Department of Communication, Media, and Film at the University of Windsor's School of Creative Arts. His work focuses on documentary filmmaking, historical narratives, and environmental storytelling. He has contributed to major projects like Sharkwater Extinction (winning a national editing award) and Fight to the Finish, a WWII documentary. Hector frequently collaborates with students and colleagues, mentoring filmmakers such as Calum Hotchkiss and Olivier Tristan Balmokune.
