Brent Lee is a Professor and Acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Windsor. He is affiliated with the Department of Music and is a core member of the Noiseborder Ensemble, specializing in multimedia performance and experimental music. His research focuses on interdisciplinary art forms, live audiovisual coding, and the intersection of technology with traditional music composition.
Lee has collaborated extensively with institutions like the Windsor Symphony Youth Orchestra and the Leddy Library, producing works such as Homstal and the interactive documentary 130-Year Road Trip. His awards include the 2014 Windsor Endowment for the Arts Award recognizing his contributions to multidisciplinary arts. Notable projects include the experimental film Qausuittuq and the General Brock in Detroit composition, celebrating historical narratives through music.
He advises students like David Bergeron, whose works have been premiered by the Windsor Symphony. Lee’s teaching spans composition, sound design, and multimedia performance, reflecting his commitment to innovation in arts education.
