Mimi S. Kim

Mimi S. Kim, MD, MSc, is a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California and an Attending Physician at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). She co-directs the CHLA Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH) Comprehensive Care Center and serves as an Investigator in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.

Her research focuses on obesity and adiposity in CAH youth, using novel imaging technologies to study brain and metabolic differences. Key areas include developmental stages from infancy to puberty, pathophysiology of CAH-related complications, and dietary decision-making.

Her recent work spans 2023-2025, covering topics like glucocorticoid-behavior links, neural correlates of obesity, and therapeutic interventions. Awards include the CARES Foundation Pioneer Award (2018), James H. Zumberge Research Award (2015-2016), and multiple national and institutional honors.
