Milton Shinberg, AIA, LEED AP, is an internationally recognized Adjunct Professor at The Catholic University of America's School of Architecture and Planning. With a career spanning over four decades in architectural practice and academia, his work bridges architectural design, cognitive neuroscience, and art-science integration. He is the founder of the seminar Beauty & Brains (2004–present), exploring how human cognition and sensory experience shape architectural practice.

Shinberg’s research investigates the interconnection between physical environments and human creativity, with a focus on school design and behavioral neuroscience. His work has been recognized by the United States Commission of Fine Arts for its impact on educational infrastructure.
His recent publications and artistic practice (watercolors, photography) reflect his interdisciplinary approach, blending design theory, cognitive modeling, and environmental aesthetics. While he retired from architectural practice in 2018, he continues to teach and develop a forthcoming book on these themes.
