Douglas E. Noble

Douglas E. Noble, Ph.D., is a Fellow Professor at the USC School of Architecture, joining in 1991. He holds leadership roles including former Associate Dean and founder of the Ph.D. program. His academic background includes a BS/B.Arch from Cal Poly Pomona and M.Arch/Ph.D. from UC Berkeley.

Research focuses on building science/technology, façade tectonics, and architectural education. Awards include FAIA (2003), ACSA recognition, and three 'Most Admired Educator' honors. He teaches courses on architectural studies, building science thesis, and national parks exploration. Leadership roles include past-president of ACADIA and contributions to licensing preparation programs.
