Mills Kelly

Mills Kelly is Professor of History at George Mason University and former director of the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media. His research bridges digital history, public history, and historical pedagogy, with expertise in Appalachian Trail history and East Central Europe.

Publications include:

• Virginia's Lost Appalachian Trail (History Press, 2023)
• Teaching History in the Digital Age (Michigan, 2013)

He hosts 'The Green Tunnel' podcast and has secured over $7 million in grants for digital history projects. Recognitions include Gutenberg Teaching Award and NEH fellowships.
