Milena Turčinović is a Researcher at Singidunum University's Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management. She holds a Doctoral degree in Tourism Management (2024–present), a Master's in Business Systems in Tourism and Hotel Industry (2023–2024), and a Bachelor's in Tourism Management (2019–2023), all from Singidunum University. Her research focuses on sustainable tourism development, rural empowerment, and community-led initiatives. She has published extensively on topics such as gender empowerment in rural tourism, wine tourism competitiveness, and economic sustainability in mountain regions. Her work bridges socio-economic analysis with practical tourism management strategies.
Key research areas include the role of women’s self-help groups in tourism development, the impact of sports and recreational offerings on urban destinations, and employee perceptions in hospitality sustainability. She actively contributes to academic conferences, presenting findings on community-based tourism initiatives and sustainable business practices.
