Mildred Willy

Dr. Mildred Willy serves as Associate Dean of Student Affairs and Associate Professor at Central Michigan University College of Medicine, appointed in May 2019. She oversees comprehensive student services including career advising, wellness programs, and professionalism development while maintaining part-time emergency medicine clinical practice in the Great Lakes Bay Region.

Her educational credentials include an M.D. from Indiana University School of Medicine, Emergency Medicine residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center (Detroit), and a B.A. in Chemistry/Psychology from Indiana University Bloomington. She previously served as core faculty and assistant program director for Saginaw's emergency medicine residency program.

Research focuses on medical education with specialization in professionalism, clinical bias, and physician wellness. Recent publications examine student perspectives on unprofessional behaviors and compassion fatigue, directly supporting CMU's rural healthcare mission through educational innovation.
