Clif Knight, M.D., CPE, FAAFP serves as Assistant Dean of Graduate Medical Education and Associate Professor of Family Medicine at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MU-COM). In his role, he focuses on developing new and expanded Graduate Medical Education programs, particularly in rural communities, while promoting osteopathic recognition to residency programs in Indiana and assisting MU-COM students with successful placement into GME programs.

- Family Medicine residency at Community East in Indianapolis
- Faculty Development fellowship through UNC Department of Family Medicine
- Certified Physician Executive through American Association for Physician Leadership
- Executive certificate in nonprofit leadership through Duke University
Research and Professional Interests: Dr. Knight is deeply committed to promoting patient safety, clinician well-being, gender equity for women in medicine, physician leadership development, primary care workforce expansion, and the use of performance improvement tools to enhance healthcare outcomes. His work particularly emphasizes rural healthcare access and osteopathic medical education.
Professional Recognition:
- A. Alan Fischer Award for outstanding contributions to education in Family Medicine in Indiana (2004)
- AMA Women Physicians Section Inspiration Award Honoree (2019)
- IAFP Lester Bibler Award for long term dedication to family medicine in Indiana (2022)
Leadership and Service: Dr. Knight has served on the Marian University Board of Trustees (2011-2015), the AAFP Board of Directors (2012-2014), and currently serves on the IAFP board of directors, as an alternate trustee for the Indiana State Medical Association, and on the Indianapolis Medical Society board. He represents MU-COM on the Indiana Graduate Medical Education Board and previously chaired the Indiana Medicaid Therapeutics Committee (2009). He led the AAFP's Physician Health First initiative and helped create the AAFP's Annual Physician Well-being Conference.
