Milda Pucetaite is a researcher at the Department of Biology, Lund University, Sweden. As a LINXS Fellow, she contributes to the Environment and Climate Core Group and coordinates Working Group 4 – Structures and Environmental Interfaces. Her work focuses on applying advanced microspectroscopy techniques, particularly synchrotron radiation-based X-ray methods, to analyze microbial chemistry in soils and study microbe-driven processes linked to climate systems.
Her research aligns with efforts to establish the MIRARI infrared microspectroscopy beamline at MAX IV, where she represents environment and climate research communities. Key areas include:
- Environmental microbiology and soil chemistry
- Advanced analytical techniques (X-ray spectroscopy, microspectroscopy)
- Climate-microbe feedback mechanisms
- Interdisciplinary applications in heritage science and materials research
