Kajsa Sigfridsson Clauss is a beamline scientist at the Balder beamline at MAX IV Laboratory, Lund University, Sweden, and a member of the New Materials Working Group 3 (Light Harvesting Processes) within the LINXS Institute. She holds a PhD in Chemistry (Molecular Biomimetics) from Uppsala University and a Master's degree in Molecular Biology from Lund University.
- Master in Molecular Biology, Lund University
- PhD in Chemistry (Molecular Biomimetics), Uppsala University
Kajsa specializes in hard X-ray spectroscopy and has extensive experience in XAFS/XES applications for studying biocatalytic systems and radiation-sensitive samples. Her research spans photosynthesis, enzyme systems, and sample environment innovation, particularly through her SSF-funded AdaptoCell microfluidics project.
She is currently developing advanced sample environments (cryostats, microfluidics) for the Balder beamline at MAX IV Laboratory, supporting studies on proteins and biomolecules through AdaptoCell. Her work focuses on enabling dynamic, high-precision experiments for MAX IV users.
