Mikyung Seo

Dr. Mikyung Seo is a Senior Health Economist at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health, Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), with honorary academic positions at the University of Cambridge and Imperial College London. She joined QMUL in 2024 after prior roles at these institutions and international organizations such as the International Labour Organization (ILO) and International Vaccine Institute (IVI). Her research focuses on cost-effectiveness analysis, health technology assessment, and decision modeling to improve healthcare interventions.

Dr. Seo holds a PhD in Health Economics from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and an MSc in Health Policy from the London School of Economics (LSE). At QMUL, she leads projects evaluating pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, and care pathways for integration into the UK NHS. Her work spans study design, data collection, and analysis, including survival analysis and budget impact modeling.

Her research interests include economic evaluations, discrete choice experiments, and systematic reviews. She has contributed to methodological advancements in health economics through publications on biomarker cost-effectiveness and health technology assessment frameworks.
