معرفی
Miki Park is a Professor and Interim Associate Dean of Graduate Education and Research at the University of the Pacific, where she has served since 2004. As Director of the Pharmaceutical and Chemical Sciences Program, she contributes to academic leadership, teaching, and research in pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmacokinetics.
- PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry (2002) from University of California, San Francisco
- BS in Biochemistry (1997) from University of Texas at Austin
Research Focus: Her work explores drug transporters and pharmacokinetics, particularly P-glycoprotein interactions, transporter-mediated absorption, and mechanisms of cellular toxicity. She investigates strategies to optimize drug delivery and mitigate resistance.
Teaching Interests: Courses include pharmacokinetics, bioanalytical techniques, and graduate research. Her philosophy emphasizes critical thinking and real-world application of pharmacological concepts.
Scholarly Activity Trends: Publications highlight advancements in transporter pathways (2002–2014), peptide half-life enhancement (accepted), and molecular mechanisms in drug metabolism. Collaborative work spans cellular biochemistry, neurodegenerative disease models, and toxicological pharmacology.
Professional Background: Prior to Pacific, she worked at Genentech (2004). Her academic training includes biochemistry and pharmaceutical chemistry.
