معرفی
Miki Park is a Professor and Interim Associate Dean of Graduate Education and Research at the University of the Pacific. She has been affiliated with the institution since 2004 and serves as Director of the Pharmaceutical and Chemical Sciences Program. Her academic career spans independent research, teaching, and leadership roles.
- Education:
- BS in Biochemistry, University of Texas at Austin (1997)
- PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, University of California, San Francisco (2002)
Dr. Park's research focuses on drug transporters and pharmacokinetics, particularly their roles in drug absorption, metabolism, and cellular toxicity. Her work explores P-glycoprotein dynamics, transporter interactions, and innovative strategies for enhancing drug efficacy and safety.
Her scholarly activity includes 10 peer-reviewed articles (1999–2023) on topics such as P-glycoprotein substrates, biomimetic peptide half-life extension, and transporter-mediated drug interactions. These publications span disciplines like pharmacology, biochemistry, and toxicology, with subfields including drug delivery, protein engineering, and cellular signaling.
Dr. Park teaches graduate courses in pharmacokinetics, bioanalytical techniques, and drug metabolism. Her prior role as an associate scientist at Genentech underscores her industry experience, complementing her academic contributions.
