Mike McLaughlin

Prof. Michael McLaughlin is a Research Professor at the University of Adelaide's School of Agriculture, Food and Wine, and an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at Teagasc (Ireland). He leads the Fertilizer Technology Research Centre, established in 2007, focused on advancing fertilizer efficiency and environmental sustainability. His research spans soil chemistry, ecotoxicology, and agricultural innovation, with commercialized outcomes in oil detection and remediation technologies.

Prof. McLaughlin's work integrates fundamental science with industry collaboration, supported by grants from The Mosaic Company, Australian rural research bodies, and the Australian Research Council. He currently does not supervise new postgraduate students but oversees research projects and collaborates internationally.
