Professor Mike Finnis holds the Chair in Materials Theory and Simulation at Imperial College London's Department of Materials within the Faculty of Engineering. His research bridges electronic structure theory, atomic behavior, thermodynamics, and microstructure evolution. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society and has received prestigious awards for his contributions to interatomic force modeling and materials science.
