Dr. Mike Engle is an Associate Professor in the Science & Mathematics Department at Mount Aloysius College. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, an M.S. from Bowling Green State University, and a B.S. from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. His academic research focuses on Extracellular Matrix and Acid Mine Drainage. He teaches courses including Microbiology, Pharmacology, Immunology, and oversees labs in these disciplines. Dr. Engle is a member of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and the Allegheny Branch of the American Society for Microbiology. He currently serves on the Professional Development Committee at the college.
