Joshua Kosker is a Lecturer in Digital Fabrication & Design Education at the Art & Design Department of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. His work focuses on contemporary jewelry, materiality, and counterintuitive methodologies, exploring the intersections of craft, impermanence, and the body. He holds an MFA in Jewelry Design and Metalsmithing from Bowling Green State University and a BFA in Jewelry and Metals from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

His creative practice emphasizes national and international exhibitions, with works featured in publications such as New Brooches: 400+ Contemporary Jewelry Designs, To the Point: Pin Mechanisms and Brooch Back Design, and Narrative Jewelry: Tales from the Toolbox. He has participated in residencies at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, and Touchstone Center for Crafts. His research interests include experimental techniques in jewelry design and the role of materiality in visual storytelling.
Prior to his current role, Kosker held teaching positions at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Bowling Green State University, and Indiana University-Bloomington. His studio and digital fabrication expertise contribute to innovative approaches in design education.
