Mihalis Lazaridis

Professor of Atmospheric Pollution and Climate Change at the Technical University of Crete. Leads the Atmospheric Aerosols Laboratory within the Division of Environmental & Energy Management. Research bridges atmospheric science and public health.

Research examines physical-chemical processes of particulate matter, atmospheric nucleation, indoor air quality, and climate-particulate interactions. Develops models linking air pollution exposure to health outcomes.

Recent publications demonstrate advancements in exposure science, integrating field measurements with computational dosimetry models. Research consistently addresses human health implications of air pollutants across diverse environments.

Coordinates pan-European projects including INCHILDHEALTH (child health impacts), PANACEA (atmospheric composition), and LIFE+ Index-Air (particulate management). Teaches courses in Physics, Air Pollution, and Indoor Air Quality.
