Miguel Palacios is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Owen Graduate School of Management, Vanderbilt University. His research explores the intersection of human capital and asset-pricing, focusing on the riskiness of human capital and its impact on firm risk. He has pioneered innovative education financing instruments, including his book Investing in Human Capital (Cambridge University Press, 2004) and co-founding Lumni Inc., which implements income-based repayment models in Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and the United States.
