معرفی
Miguel Beneitez Galan is a Lecturer in Fluid Mechanics at the University of Manchester's Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. His research focuses on nonlinear dynamics, machine learning, and complex fluid systems, particularly viscoelastic flows and turbulence control. He actively supervises PhD students and hosts postdoctoral researchers.
- Education:
- Doctor of Science (PhD) in Engineering Mechanics, Kungliga Tekniska Hogskolan (2017–2021)
- Master of Science (MSc) in Engineering Mechanics, Kungliga Tekniska Hogskolan (2015–2017)
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Engineering in Industrial Technologies, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (2011–2015)
Research interests include the Navier-Stokes equations, machine learning applications (e.g., deep reinforcement learning), and stability analysis of complex fluid jets. His work bridges fluid dynamics with data science to address challenges in engineering and sustainability.
He leads the Fluids Research Group at Manchester, collaborating on projects like the The Well dataset for machine learning in physics. Recent publications explore turbulence control, viscoelastic flow instabilities, and elasto-inertial dynamics.
He is recruiting PhD students and welcomes collaboration on fluid mechanics, machine learning, and applied mathematics. Contact: miguel.beneitez@manchester.ac.uk.
