Miguel Andres Acosta Lopez

Miguel Andres Acosta Lopez is a Full Professor (converted to Professor per academic rank guidelines) at University CEU San Pablo and the Institute of Humanities CEU Ángel Ayala in Madrid. He earned a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Navarra (2001) with a focus on human affectivity according to Aquinas. Since 2002, he has taught at CEU San Pablo, while also serving as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Notre Dame du Lac and as an Academic Consultant for institutions in Paraguay, Mozambique, and El Salvador.

His research spans Anthropology, Ethics, and the Philosophy of Nature and Science. A co-author of Karol Wojtyła's Personalist Philosophy: Understanding Person & Act (2016), his work explores intersections between phenomenology, ontology, and theological ethics.

Recent publications analyze consciousness and subjectivity through onto-phenomenological frameworks (Millán-Puelles, Wojtyła) and volitional acts in human passions per Aquinas. These studies reflect his focus on ethical theory, Thomistic philosophy, and metaphysical interpretations of human experience.
