Jarosław Merecki

Prof. Jarosław Merecki SDS serves as a Professor at The John Paul II Pontifical Theological Institute for Marriage and Family Sciences. He was selected as the featured lecturer for the 2023/2024 Karol Wojtyła Memorial Lectures series hosted by the Faculty of Philosophy at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin (KUL), delivering the course "Sources and the Basic Concepts of the Anthropology of Karol Wojtyła" in hybrid format from May 7-14, 2024, at Collegium Joannis Pauli II.

His scholarly focus centers on the philosophical and theological anthropology of Karol Wojtyła (Pope John Paul II), examining foundational concepts and primary sources that shaped Wojtyła's understanding of human nature. Research spans interdisciplinary analysis of Christian anthropology, ethical dimensions of marriage and family within Catholic tradition, and the synthesis of philosophical reasoning with theological insights.
