Mignon Montpetit

Mignon Montpetit is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU), affiliated with the Department of Psychology. She holds a Ph.D. and postdoctoral research experience from the University of Notre Dame. Her research focuses on adult development, aging, stress and coping mechanisms, cultural influences on development, and research methodology. She teaches courses including General Psychology, Lifespan Development, Mental Health and Aging, and Research Methods.

As a faculty advisor, she leads IWU’s Best Buddies program and Titan Catholic initiatives. Her teaching emphasizes evidence-based practices in psychology and methodological rigor.
