Linda Kunce

Linda Kunce is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU), holding a PhD from the State University of New York at Buffalo (1994). She specializes in clinical psychology with a focus on autism spectrum disorders, child psychopathology, and family dynamics. Her research explores sibling relationships in autism spectrum disorders, parent-child collaboration in educational settings, and effective intervention programs for high-functioning individuals with autism.

She teaches courses including Abnormal Psychology, Statistics, Counseling and Psychotherapy, and special topics on Autism and Childhood Disorders. As a department leader, she advises psychology internships, coordinates IWU's Autism Social Support Group, and oversees the 3-2 Occupational Therapy program partnership with Washington University.

Her current research questions address the impact of sibling relationships on children with autism, parental insights into these dynamics, and improving teacher-parent collaboration strategies. She emphasizes applied research to bridge psychological theory with practical societal and environmental outcomes.
