Dr. Mickie Swisher is a Professor in the Department of Family, Youth and Community Sciences at the University of Florida. She serves as Director of the Center for Sustainable & Organic Food Systems and Co-PI for multiple agricultural research projects. She collaborates internationally through organizations like the Organization for Tropical Studies and leads exchange programs with institutions in Brazil and Haiti.

Her research focuses on strategic decision-making under uncertainty, particularly in agricultural contexts. Dr. Swisher leads 8 US-funded and 2 international projects addressing food system sustainability.
