Michiel Spanjaart

Michiel Spanjaart is a Visiting Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS) Law Faculty, with a visiting period from 12 August 2024 to 30 August 2024. He has held multiple roles at NUS since 2013, including Postdoctoral Fellow (2013–2015), MPA Visiting Professor of Maritime Law (August 2015), and Senior Visiting Research Fellow. Currently, he is a lecturer at Erasmus University Rotterdam (Netherlands) and serves as an advisor at Kneppelhout & Korthals Advocaten. He is also a founding partner of Rotterdam-based law firm Trains & Co., and previously worked with Padberg Spanjaart and DLA Piper. His practice focuses on transport, insurance, and commercial law.
