Michelle Mathews

Michelle Mathews is Associate Teaching Professor in Human Development & Family Science at the University of Missouri, with 25+ years in early childhood education. She coordinates infant/toddler practicum courses and teaches on diversity, equity, and technology in early learning.

As former Director of the MU Child Development Lab (2014-2022), Mathews specializes in program administration, quality assessment, and inclusive curriculum design. Her work bridges research and practice in early childhood settings.

She holds a PhD in Human Environmental Sciences from the University of Missouri.
