Michelle L. Buck is a Clinical Professor of Leadership at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, where she has held academic and administrative roles since 2001. She previously served as the first Director of Leadership Initiatives (2006–2013) and academic director of numerous executive programs. Her work focuses on leadership development through self-reflection, storytelling, and inclusive cultures. She teaches leadership, negotiations, and conflict transformation, integrating arts-based experiential learning. Her global collaborations include programs in Brazil, Africa, and Japan with organizations like Coca-Cola and Zurich Insurance.

Her research explores leadership narratives, courageous conversations, and reduced-load work arrangements. Michelle’s teaching extends to executive education programs and global field courses, such as an MBA trip to Rwanda in 2014. Her grants include recent career development support from Northwestern University (2024–2025).
