Michelle E. Collver serves as an Adjunct Lecturer of Cybersecurity at Utica College's School of Business & Justice, while concurrently working as a NYS certified Level I Lead Crime Analyst at the Mohawk Valley Crime Analysis Center through the John F. Finn Institute where she has held a seven-year tenure analyzing gun violence patterns for Utica and Oneida County under the Gun Involved Violence Elimination (GIVE) initiative.
Her academic credentials include:
- M.S. in Cybersecurity from Utica College
- B.S. in Economic Crime Investigation from Utica College
Ms. Collver specializes in applied crime analysis with emphasis on data-driven approaches to urban gun violence prevention, leveraging dual expertise in cybersecurity frameworks and economic crime methodologies. Her work integrates criminal intelligence analysis techniques with real-world public safety initiatives, particularly through the GIVE program's strategic interventions. This operational experience directly informs her instruction in Utica College's Criminal Intelligence Analysis degree curriculum where she bridges theoretical concepts with frontline crime analysis practices.
She maintains active professional leadership as Vice President of Membership for the New York Association of Law Enforcement Analysts (NYALEA), a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to advancing crime analysis standards and practitioner collaboration across New York's law enforcement community.
