Michelle Binder

Major Michelle Binder is an Assistant Professor in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program at Uniformed Services University's Graduate School of Nursing. A board-certified PMHNP, she holds a DNP from USU (2019), an MSN from the University of Toledo (2011), a postgraduate certificate in Health Professions Education from USU (2024), and a B.A. in International Studies from Wright State University (1999).

Her research examines military mental health interventions, including animal-assisted therapy and telehealth applications. Clinical leadership includes roles as Medical Director in Japan and substance abuse program management. Military honors include Meritorious Service Medals and the 2023 Trusted Care Hero Award.
