Michel de Jong is an Associate Professor at the University of Twente's Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science, specializing in Nano Electronics. He joined the NanoElectronics group at MESA+ in September 2007 and has held positions ranging from Postdoctoral Fellow to Associate Professor. His research spans semiconductor spintronics, hybrid materials systems, and electron spectroscopic techniques.

Research: de Jong's work focuses on spintronics, organic electronics, and hybrid inorganic/organic materials systems. His research examines electronic/magnetic properties of interfaces, correlated electron systems, and low-dimensional systems, with over 60 publications.
