Michel P. de Jong is a Lecturer at the MESA+ Institute for Nanotechnology, University of Twente. His research focuses on nanotechnology and materials science, with contributions to Sustainable Development Goals. Key areas include thin films, atomic layer deposition, spintronics, and energy-efficient hardware. He has published extensively, with 116 research outputs since 1997.
Recent work includes frameworks for unconventional machine learning hardware (2023) and studies on transition metal dichalcogenide interfaces (2021). He collaborates internationally and has presented at conferences on graphene, silicene, and water-splitting technologies.
