Michel Vallée is an Adjunct Research Professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Carleton University. His research focuses on youth justice, crime prevention, and criminal justice policy, with a particular emphasis on socio-legal issues affecting children and youth. He also conducts international comparative analyses, especially in francophone countries, and explores police-community partnerships and government roles in policy implementation.
Dr. Vallée holds an MSc from the École de Criminologie at Université de Montréal. His work bridges academic research with practical policy development, emphasizing evidence-based approaches to social challenges. He is affiliated with the Department’s interdisciplinary programs and engages in community outreach to strengthen law enforcement-community relations.
