Michel Gendreau

Michel Gendreau is a Professor of Operations Research at École Polytechnique de Montréal, Canada, and holds the NSERC/Hydro-Québec Chair on the Stochastic Optimization of Electricity Generation. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Montreal in 1984 and served as Director of the Centre for Research on Transportation from 1999 to 2007.

His research focuses on applying operations research to energy, transportation, and telecommunication planning. He has authored over 200 peer-reviewed publications and serves as Editor-in-Chief of Transportation Science, with additional roles on several editorial boards.
