Michał Rupniewski is a Professor at the Department of Political and Legal Doctrines within the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Lodz. He serves as Head of the Alexis de Tocqueville Center for Political and Legal Thought, coordinating academic activities including lectures, seminars, and conferences. A graduate of law and philosophy from the University of Lodz, he obtained his doctorate in 2014 and habilitation in 2023.
His research focuses on political liberalism, Christian personalism, the relationship between human dignity and law, philosophical aspects of legal change, and regulatory frameworks for artificial intelligence. He has participated in international academic exchanges at institutions including the University of Bonn, University of Strasbourg, Fordham University (New York), and Universidad Panamericana (Mexico).
Rupniewski oversees the Student Scientific Circle of Political and Legal Thought and actively seeks external research funding. His responsibilities include developing educational offerings and conducting organizational work for the faculty.
