Michaël HAUSPIE serves as a Lecturer (HDR) at the University of Lille, maintaining dual office locations at IRCICA (Haute Borne, Office 226) and IUT A (Scientific City, Office 4A49). He is actively affiliated with research team 2XS and the CRIStAL laboratory (Centre de Recherche en Informatique, Signal et Automatique de Lille).
His research spans cybersecurity and theoretical computer science with emphasis on:
- Intrusion detection systems for cloud infrastructure, wireless networks, and IoT/smart home environments
- DDoS attack mitigation in large-scale providers
- Semigroup theory applications in formal language validation and vectorization techniques
Dr. Hauspie has supervised four doctoral theses, advising Clement Boin on cloud security (2023), Etienne Helluy-lafont on wireless network security (2021), Olivier Lourme on smart home intrusion detection (2023), and Claire Soyez-Martin on theoretical computer science (2023). His work demonstrates consistent focus on practical security implementations alongside foundational theoretical contributions.
