Michal Chmiel is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Psychology Social and Affective Processes at Royal Holloway, University of London. He holds a PhD in Social Psychology from Jagiellonian University (2012), focusing on consumer decision-making influenced by linguistic content. His research spans fake news propagation, PR strategies, gender portrayals in media, and crisis management. As a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA, 2021), he bridges academic and professional domains.
Professional Experience: Over 13 years in PR and communications for multinational firms like Procter & Gamble, managing feminine products portfolios and CSR policies. Roles include Managing Director of a communication agency and strategy consultant in the music industry. His expertise spans political campaigns, lobbying, and entertainment.
