Michaela Zöschg is a researcher affiliated with The Courtauld Institute of Art, focusing on Medieval art production, Patronage of mendicant orders, and Gender in late Middle Ages. Her work explores intersections of Religious practice and space, Medieval art and the senses, and Artistic exchange.
Education:

Research interests revolve around late medieval European queens’ Clarissan foundations, their artistic and architectural features, and the role of Female Monasticism in shaping visual culture. She investigates Gothic architecture and Royal patronage across Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Switzerland.
