Prof. Dr. Michaela Vogt serves as Vice Rector for International Affairs, Diversity and Society at Bielefeld University while holding a professorship in Comparative School Research, Theory and History of Inclusive Education within the Faculty of Education. She is affiliated with Working Group 11 - School Pedagogy in Comparative Perspective and the Institute for Interdisciplinary Research on Conflict and Violence.
Her research focuses on historical and comparative perspectives in education with particular expertise in inclusive education systems. She leads multiple research projects examining school readiness, inclusive teaching materials across European contexts, digitalization in education, and mapping inclusion practices.

- Examination of normality, normativity and normalization in educational settings
Prof. Vogt actively participates in university governance as Deputy in the Faculty Conference, member of the Teaching and Student Affairs Committee, Academic Advisory Board, and Research and Young Academics Committee.
She serves as project manager for significant research initiatives including 'Between Primary School Readiness and Need for Special Schooling,' 'Inclusive Teaching Materials in a European Comparison,' 'Digitalization in European Education,' and 'Mapping of Inclusion.'
Prof. Vogt maintains strong professional engagement as Deputy Chairman of the Section for Historical Educational Research (DGfE), spokesperson for AG PriQua (Primary School Researchers), and member of GDSU since 2015, with DGfE membership since 2009. She serves as peer reviewer for multiple academic journals including the Journal of Primary School Research and Yearbook of Historical Educational Research.
