معرفی
Michael Wu is a Professor of Biostatistics at the University of Washington and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. He holds affiliate and adjunct roles at multiple institutions, including the University of North Carolina. His research focuses on statistical methods for translational science, high-dimensional genomic data, and applications in clinical trials and population-based studies. He is a member of the SWOG Statistical Center, aiding in cancer clinical trial design and analysis.
Education: PhD (Biostatistics, Harvard University, 2009), AM (Biostatistics, Harvard, 2006), BS (Mathematical and Computational Science, Stanford, 2004).
Research Interests: Dr. Wu’s work spans statistical methodologies for genomics, epigenomics, proteomics/metabolomics, and microbiome studies. He applies these to areas like reproductive outcomes, autoimmune disorders, cardiovascular disease, and environmental health. His lab develops tools for analyzing complex biological data in translational research.
Key Awards:
- Bob Riffenburgh Award (2023)
- ASA Fellow (2022)
Grants & Teams: Collaborates with the SWOG Statistical Center and the Translational Data Science Integrated Research Center (TDS IRC) at Fred Hutch. His work integrates statistical innovation with clinical and population health challenges.
Labs/Teams: Leads the Wu Lab and contributes to the TDS IRC, focusing on data-driven solutions for biomedical research.
