Michael William Fong

Michael William Fong is a Clinical Professor of Medicine and Radiology (Part-Time) at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. He holds leadership roles in advanced heart failure programs, including co-directing the Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging program and establishing the Ventricular Assist Device Clinic and Heart Failure Clinic. His clinical expertise spans heart failure, cardiac amyloidosis, and mechanical circulatory support. Dr. Fong’s research focuses on leveraging technology—such as mobile apps and digital scales—to improve heart failure management and reduce hospital readmissions. He has secured grants from Proteus Digital Health and the Coulter Foundation, and leads multiple clinical trials. He is a recipient of numerous awards, including Super Doctors recognition and the Physician of the Year (2018).
