Vivian Mo

Dr. Vivian Mo is a Clinical Professor of Medicine and Interim Chief of the Division of Cardiology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. She also serves as Chief Medical Officer of USC Care Medical Group and Director of the Women's Cardiovascular Center at USC. Her roles include medical education leadership in the cardiovascular fellowship program and advancing clinical programs in structural heart disease, echocardiography, and interventional procedures such as TAVR and MitraClip.

Dr. Mo completed her internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Her research focuses on right ventricular function in pulmonary hypertension, echocardiographic measures in cardiac tamponade, and cardiovascular outcomes in women. She is a co-investigator on studies involving MRI evaluation of carotid plaque composition and the VIRGO trial examining gender disparities in myocardial infarction outcomes.

She has held leadership roles in expanding the division's clinical reach to satellite facilities and building a faculty specializing in interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, heart failure, and advanced imaging. Dr. Mo is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and American Society of Echocardiography.

Her awards include the Charles S. Houston Award (2007) and recognition for excellence in psychology (1996). She speaks English, Mandarin, and Spanish.
