Michael Pfeiffer

Michael Pfeiffer, MD is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Penn State College of Medicine, specializing in the Division of Cardiology. He serves as Program Director for the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at the Penn State Heart and Vascular Institute. His clinical expertise encompasses echocardiography, structural heart imaging, general cardiology, and transesophageal echocardiography.

Dr. Pfeiffer received his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 2006. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 2009, followed by a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in 2012.

Dr. Pfeiffer's research focuses on advanced cardiac imaging techniques and their application in heart failure and pulmonary embolism.
