Michael Wildes is the Managing Partner of Wildes & Weinberg, a premier immigration law firm, and currently serves as Mayor of Englewood, New Jersey. He holds an adjunct professorship at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he teaches Business Immigration Law and an Externship Seminar focusing on legal professionalism. A former Federal Prosecutor (1989–1993), Wildes has testified on Capitol Hill regarding anti-terrorism legislation and frequently appears as a legal analyst on network television discussing immigration policy and national security.
Wildes authored Safe Haven in America: Battles to Open the Golden Door (2018), examining immigration controversies through case studies involving defectors, asylum seekers, and high-profile clients. His legal practice includes representing celebrities, athletes, and corporate clients, while maintaining a commitment to multilingual services and ethical standards.
He holds a J.D. from Cardozo School of Law and a B.A. from Queens College. Beyond academia, Wildes has served on the District Appeals Board of the Selective Service System, the New Jersey Governor’s Blue Panel on Immigration, and as a guest lecturer at Yale, NYU, and Brooklyn Law School. His work bridges immigration law, public policy, and international security, with a focus on balancing humanitarian principles with national interests.
