Michael Webb

Michael Webb, DDS, MEd is a Clinical Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Orthodontics, and Dentofacial Orthopedics at East Carolina University's School of Dental Medicine. He holds the Jasper L. Lewis, Jr. Distinguished Scholar title in Pediatric Dentistry. His clinical interests include sedation/anesthesia management, care for medically compromised children, and medical emergency protocols. Dr. Webb has certifications from the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is an EMT-Intermediate. He directs the Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program and has extensive academic leadership roles at Baylor College of Dentistry and Virginia Commonwealth University.

Education includes a DDS from Northwestern University, a MEd in Adult Learning, and certificates in Healthcare Professions Education, Pediatric Dentistry, Dental Anesthesiology, and Healthcare Administration. His research focuses on sedation techniques, pediatric dental emergencies, and treatment protocols for high-risk patients. He has authored/co-authored over 20 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on pediatric dentistry and anesthesiology.
