Michael Ward is a Professor of Apologetics at Houston Christian University (HCU) and Director of the C.S. Lewis Centre. He holds a PhD in Divinity from the University of St Andrews, and MA degrees in Theology and English from the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford. His research focuses on theological imagination, particularly the intersection of narrative art and Christian doctrine, with a special interest in theodicy. He has authored award-winning books such as Planet Narnia and After Humanity, and co-edited volumes on C.S. Lewis. Dr. Ward has honorary doctorates from Thorneloe University (2021) and Hillsdale College (2015). He is also an associate member of the Faculty of Theology and Religion at the University of Oxford, and serves on editorial boards for journals like Sehnsucht: The C.S. Lewis Journal. His BBC documentary The Narnia Code explored Lewis’s literary symbolism. He frequently lectures internationally and has contributed to media outlets like Christianity Today.
